Cured composite resins in ideal conditions can be used in the office as an alternative for the ceramic onlays and the laboratory composite resin restorations. They present a number of advantages, such as less time needed and the lower cost of preparation since they can be made in the office not requiring special equipment. They are easy and quick to make. On top of that, they have technical advantages such as better polishing, better curing degree, better shade stability and a good marginal sealing. This technique associated with the use of a universal adhesive provides greater convenience and versatility to the professional.
