Complete rehabilitation in a 100% digital workflow
63-year-old female patient.
COMPLAINT:
Unsatisfied with darkened and excessivly worn teeth.
CLINICAL/RADIOGRAPHIC EXAM:
Clinically, there was a lack of balance in the smile caused by problems such as friction, wear, cervical lesions from bruxism with loss of vertical dimensions. Absence of joint pain. Furthermore, substrate staining was unfavorable and diastemata were present between the central incisors, both in the upper and lower arches.
TREATMENT:
The purpose of the treatment was to restore the function and appearance to the patient's new smile in a 100% digital flow. Case planning began with studio photography. After intraoral scanning, the digital models were mounted on a semi-adjustable articulator. Standard diagnosis of bruxism diagnosed using the Bruxchecker® device. Firstly, a superior gingival plastic surgery guided through digital waxing was performed. After gengival tissue healing, the micropreparations were performed and a new scan was performed. In a subsequent consultation, the rehabilitation of the total volume of the milled material was tested, and then the pieces were made. The adhesive cementation was done with light-curing cement (Allcem Veneer) for veneers and dual resin cement (Allcem Dual) for the crowns. Prevention and maintenance with Bruxchecker® device and myorelaxant plate.
"When working with the products of FGM's cementation line, I feel comfortable during the manipulation due to the viscosity, color options, mechanical properties and setting time. In this case we used both Allcem Veneer and Allcem for posterior teeth, that is, the light-curing and the dual-curing cementation systems." Dr. Gonzalo Durán
