Diamond Excel is a micronized diamond-based polishing paste with extra-fine grit.
More info

Diamond Excel is made with micronized diamond with extra-fine grit (2 to 4 microns) and extremely high hardness to meet the requirements for polishing and shining porcelain, dental enamel, resins, and other restorative materials. It can be used in offices and prosthetic laboratories.

• 1 syringe with 2g

Characteristics and Advantages

• High hardness of particles for greater polishing power.
• It can be used with all restorative materials.
• Medium viscosity.
• Non-susceptible to the action of heat.
• Does not run off, facilitating handling.
• It can be used with all restorative materials.
• Versatile: use in the office or prosthetic laboratory.
• Non-toxic, water-soluble ingredients were specially selected to aid in lubrication during polishing (minimizes heat generation during the procedure) and facilitate its removal at the end of the treatment.

• Indicated to polish restorative materials in general, including porcelain with the aid of Diamond or Diamond Flex felt disks and polishing of enamel.

Step by Step

Step 1

Prepare the area to be polished, leaving it smooth and in the final shape desired. If necessary, use sandpaper disks (Diamond Pro disks in grits G, M, and/or F) or medium and fine grit paste (Diamond ACI and ACII) for finishing prior to polishing. This step is of fundamental importance, because the achievement of a shinny result depends strongly on the ideal condition of the surface.

Step 2

Deposit a small quantity of paste on the felt disk (Diamond or Diamond Flex felt disks) or directly on the tooth or restoration material and proceed with polishing.

Step 3

Repeat step 2, if needed, until you achieve the desired effect.

What is the objective of polishing a restoration with Diamond Excel paste?

Diamond Excel paste provides a highly polished, aesthetic surface. A polished restoration reduces the risk of adhesion of bacterial plaque and reduces extrinsic staining.

Precautions and Contraindications

• Use low rotation and intermittent movements with low pressure in applying the felt to the tooth. This way you prevent excessive heating of the surface.

• Always use new felts to perform polishing. Using the same felt disc with abrasives from other pastes may compromise the success of the polish.
