• Curvature of the expander frames: Fits the lips perfectly.
• Cheek expander: The design of the main arch provides an excellent access to the buccal surface of the dental arches and by no means jeopardizes the visualization of the operative field.
• Tongue retractor: ArcFlex is designed with a special curved area in the main arch that allows better control to position the tongue
• Resting jaw platform: ArcFlex comes with two platforms especially elaborated and positioned to allow jaw relaxing through biting over the platform or on two silicone rubber absorbers.
• Placement wings: ArcFlex has two wings that are positioned in the center of the curved area of the expander frames. They facilitate the placement of the apparatus, allowing the professional to hold and close the apparatus using only one hand while the other helps the placement of the device into the buccal cavity. The product when closed is rather small, making the placement is easy and practical.
• Fast fitting: Product totally dismantled for easy disinfection and sterilization.

Step by Step
- Step 1

Hold the retractor by the lateral placement, pressuring one against the other. The retractor size will be reduced; check if the tongue retractor is facing down.

- Step 2

Insert the retractor starting at one side of the mouth, keeping the wings pressed.

- Step 3

Attach the upper and lower lip to the side where it was first inserted. The main ach will begin retracting the cheeks.

- Step 4

Insert the main arch into the opposite side of the mouth and then place the lips correctly.

Ask the patient to close the mouth over the silicone rubber absorbers, so that they are as high as the first molar

- Can the ArcFlex be sterilized?
Yes. The product can be sterilized in autoclave using temperature not beyond 134 °C.

- What is the mechanism of action of the product?
When the placement wings are pressed, the product reduces its sizes and facilitates the placement into the buccal cavity. After placement wings are released, the expander frames retract laterally operating the product function. The lip and cheek retraction does not cause any discomfort to the patient as the elastic force of the product was carefully established.
- What are the indications of ArcFlex?
In-office dental bleaching, prophylaxis, desensitizing agent application, anterior restorations, brackets bonding, small anterior gingival surgeries, photographs, among others.
