Send your clinic case to FGM

Dear Doctor.,

FGM is investing in a new way of advertising its products, techniques, and also advertising the works accomplished by its partners. This new advertising form is a magazine with a circulation of 100.000 copies, specifically edited and printed for FGM. The circulation of the magazine currently takes place throughout Brazil, and soon it should be extended to Latin America and Europe. Seeking to facilitate the selection of clinical cases for the magazine and our database for advertising in other means, we hereby present a protocol of guidelines for the presentation of clinical works.

We kindly request your attention to the orientation data below.

Cases should be sent to: FGM Produtos Odontológicos – Tecnhical Support.

Evaluation Stages: The works will be appraised by the FGM's scientific consultants, who will decide, according to the compatibility with the editorial style, on the advertising and the best period to be published.

The compatibility of the work will be compared against the indication foreseen for the product.

The evaluation commission will issue an opinion on the originals, containing one of the three possible evaluations: "unfavorable", "subject to modification" or "favorable".

The originals evaluated as "subject to modification" will be sent back to the author(s) so that the pertinent modifications can be accomplished in the maximum period of 20 days.Once the alterations are accomplished, the work will be reviewed by the appraiser and, if such alterations are considered sufficient and appropriate, the originals will then receive a "favorable" evaluation.

Case presentation: The received clinical cases will become part of FGM Produtos Odontológicos' files and may be advertised at any moment in the magazine, in newspapers, courses, on the website, used as pullouts, and any other means of advertising. The author's name or authors' names will always be mentioned.

Preferably, the clinical cases should only be accomplished with FGM products. In cases where the consumption products (which are less important) are not by FGM, the stage of their use can be mentioned, but without the trade name of the product and without a picture.

Products which are important to the technique and are not available in the FGM line may be mentioned.

All the clinical cases should come with initial intraoral pictures and/or pictures of the patient's smile, highlighting the initial alterations of the case. After that, pictures should be presented illustrating the execution steps and mentioning the used products (e.g. acid conditioner, opaque resin, dentin resin, enamel resin, effect or value resins, polishing disks and pastes, bleaching gel, desensitizers etc). Finally, the picture with the final intraoral result and/or the patient's smile should be enclosed.
Examples:

In the cases of composite resin restorations, the detailing of the step by step should be highlighted. For instance, in the cases of polychromatic restorations, the used shades and their sequence should be mentioned.

In the cases of fiberglass posts, we request the initial picture, the initial X-ray, removing of root canal materials, post try-on with an X-ray exam, the complete placement sequence, final picture, and final X-ray exam.
